Many of today's activities have their forerunners in history. Games and sports
are also have been developed over a period of time , sometimes the motive
behind these activity were necessity for earning and sometimes a desire to live
fuller life.
, ▪ Objective of games and sports have changed over the course
of history, at present its objective is better development of human being not
only Physical but also emotionally socially and intellectually.
▪ In initial days man had to hunt to satisfy his hunger for hunting one needs
bows and arrows, running after animals, swim to catch fish.
▪ To satisfy hunger -they learned running, throwing and swimming.
● Protection against animals -jumping on the trees and running away from

▪ All types of races ,jumping and throwing events etc. are some events of
modern competition that are result of the past.
