primary tumours of the fallopian tube are extremely
rare

neoplasms - can be cystic or solid or mixed

primary inflammation is rare
usually secondary

follicular cysts - single or multiple
usually the epithelium is flat
polycystic ovarian syndrome (stein leventhal syndrome)
increased production of androgens which leads to persistent
anovulation and causes the development of follicular cysts

corpus luteum cysts
these can be quite large and there can be haemorrhage into
the cysts
usually innocuous
