Let's get started!!!
Overview of Ad Revenue From Blogs/YouTube Channel
Ad revenue is one of the most popular ways of monetizing a blog or YouTube channel.
Advertisers pay content creators to place ads on their websites or videos, and the creators earn
revenue based on the number of views, clicks, or impressions their content generates.
For a blog, there are two main ways to earn ad revenue: through display ads and affiliate
marketing. Display ads are the most common type of ad that bloggers use. They are typically
banner ads that appear on a website's sidebar, header, footer, or within the content itself.
Advertisers pay bloggers either per click (cost per click or CPC) or per thousand impressions
(cost per thousand or CPM) of their ads.
To get started with display ads, bloggers usually sign up for an ad network, such as Google
AdSense, Media.net, or Ezoic. These networks provide bloggers with ad code that they can
insert into their website's HTML, and the network takes care of displaying relevant ads on the
website. Bloggers then earn revenue based on the number of clicks or impressions their ads
generate.
Affiliate marketing is another way to earn ad revenue from a blog. In this model, bloggers
promote products or services through affiliate links on their website. When readers click on
these links and make a purchase, the blogger earns a commission. Amazon Associates is one of
the most popular affiliate programs for bloggers, but there are many other programs available.
For YouTube channels, ad revenue is earned through the YouTube Partner Program (YPP). To
qualify for YPP, channels must have at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time in
the past 12 months. Once a channel meets these requirements, they can apply for YPP and start
earning revenue from ads on their videos.
YouTube channels earn ad revenue based on the number of views their videos generate.
YouTube shares a portion of the revenue from ads with the content creator, with the exact
amount depending on a variety of factors, such as the advertiser's budget, the number of ads
shown on the video, and the location and demographics of the viewers.
