Water Purification Report
Description On a Natural Disaster
The natural disaster our purification kit is supposed to help with is flooding. Floods
are terrible natural disasters which can come in over weeks, days, and sometimes
even minutes. This would affect the supply of drinking water in some cities, towns
or even states as all the water from the source of the area’s drinking water would
get replaced with salt water along with other objects from the journey from the
ocean. These objects could be dirt, rubbish, sticks and other common objects often
found out in public. This is a major problem as no one would be able to access clean
drinking water for people to drink, which has been replaced by dirty salt water from
the ocean. This is why we have made a water purification kit to help deliver clean,
drinkable water for people who have been affected by flooding in their houses or
towns. Floods can wipe out cities in a matter of minutes, which makes them a
dangerous natural disaster to everyone on Earth.

Here is a model of the purification kit. (Not all materials are used for the actual kit)

How Our Purification Kit Works
Funnel

Filter paper
(Paper
towels) Chamber 1 (Plastic Bottle)

Distillation Pipe
(Tube and Paper)

Heat Source (Box)
Chamber 2 (Plastic Bottle)

Our purification kit consists of 2 chambers. The first chamber is the filtering
chamber. It includes 2 funnels with a filter inside it that filters out objects like big
sticks or rocks. Anything that gets through the funnel drops down into the chamber.
That chamber would be made of metal so then there would be a heat source
underneath the first chamber. This will allow the water to boil to get rid of any of
the living organisms. This would be formed as water vapour and move upwards
towards the pipe inside the chamber. The vapour would go through the tube as the
water around the tube cools of the vapour, turning it into drinkable water for the
user. It then collects in the second chamber where the user can collect all the
water. The two chambers would both be made of metal, as it is a durable and
durable material. The tube connecting the 2 chambers would be made of 2 layers,
both made of metal. The tubes at the top and bottom would also be metal. Our
purification kit filters out most of the threats to dangerous drinking water. It filters
