Components of Bamboo
• Thera are three major components of
bamboo Cellulose, Hemicellulose, Lignin, and
they are closely assiociated in a complex
structure. They contribute about 90% of the
total of bamboo mass, the composition of
untreated bamboo was determined to be
47.2% cellulose, 23.9% hemicellulose, 23.9%
lignin.
, Cellulose
• Cellulose: Cellulose is the most abundant organic
compound found in bamboo. It is a complex
carbohydrate made up of long chains of glucose
molecules. The benefits of cellulose in bamboo
include: Strength and durability: Cellulose provides
structural strength to the bamboo, making it a
strong and durable material. This strength allows
bamboo to be used in various applications, such as
construction, furniture, and flooring
