access to courses and assignments that span over a period of four years. Design school focuses more on
a conceptual understanding of design rather than a transactional agenda. For example, you might have
an assignment where the brief is to make a realistic drawing of an animal in as much detail as possible.
The point of the assignment is to force students to be sensitive to small details, which is a vital skill for
any designer to have.
Another advantage of being in design school is that you have an amazing community, including
classmates, seniors, juniors, and highly experienced professors. Being surrounded by awesome
