Author's Purpose - ANS-An author's reason for writing the text. Author's Point of View/Perspective - ANS-An author's feelings or opinion on a topic. Summary - ANS-A brief statement or account of the main points of a text. Inference - ANS-A conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning. Cause & Effect - ANS-Why an event happens and then what happens because of it. Imagery - ANS-A type of figurative language used to help readers visualize the story being told.
