A1. Justify the placement and salaries of the three new positions. 1. The brand manager was placed in the same pay grade as the human resources manager but at an entry scale. The position qualifications are similar in that they both require a bachelor’s degree, as well as multiple years of related, prior experience. The brand manager’s salary is placed on the higher side of the industry norm in efforts to be competitive and attract the most qualified job applicants. Additionally, this salary considers and reflects the cost of living in the area. 2. The product sales representative positions were placed below the operations supervisor pay scale, with an annual salary of $50,000 annually. The product sales representative 1 position requires a bachelor’s degree, as well as entry-level management experience. The ideal candidate for this position would be one who exceeds the basic qualifications, with the most experience under their belt. 3. The product sales representative 2 position is similar in pay scale to the 1st representative, except for travel requirements. Due to the travel obligations related to the job, the salary is slightly higher at $53,000 annually. This position will also require a bachelor’s degree and entry-level sales experience. This salary will attract applicants as well as remain cost-efficient for the company.
