• And a Reader with 6 (academic) articles, focusing on items such as stakeholders, networks and
cooperation, applied to the four sub sectors of the Academy for Leisure distinguishes.
• Lecture slides
• Lecture 2: wrap-up

Lecture 1; introduction into leisure direction
Changes in the (leisure) world:
- Globalization within business world
- Networks and (digital) information streams
- Growing importance of leisure in western and non-western society in terms of turnover and
employment
- Increase of use of leisure for societal purposes
- Cross-sectorial cooperations between leisure sector and other sectors (f.e. health, education)

The relevance of leisure direction. In this world people are needed who:
- Have a helicopter view over the leisure sector
- Can bring different parties together
- Can lead a process of (strategic) cooperation

Factors of leisure direction:
- Many parties involved from different industries (cross sectoral cooperation)

analysis and support analysis
• An insight in how to direct a process to come to cooperation between stakeholders in the
leisure industry, applied to the different leisure sub sectors
