Anatomy of urinary system
The urinary system involves kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder and urethra. The kidneys are a pair
of bean shaped organ located along the posterior wall of abdominal cavity. A tube is arised from
each kidney called ureter which carry urine from kidney to the urinary bladder. The ureters are
10 to 12 inches long, runs parallel to vertebral column. Ureterovesical valves are present at the
end of ureter, which prevent back flow of urine towards kidney. The urinary bladder is a hollow
organ, which store urine. The bladder located along the midline of body at the inferior end of
pelvis. The urethra is a tube like structure which carry urine from bladder to exterior
