child care when she herself is still, a child. If the teenager remains unmarried following a pregnancy, she risks social stigma from having an out-of-wedlock pregnancy and of having to bear its negative consequences. At the aggregate level, a high teenage pregnancy rate contributes to high population growth as teenage mothers will have longer exposure to the risk of pregnancy than those who enter marital unions at a later age. That states that this topic has been done several times by other researchers before because it is popular and particularly important. ⦁ Statement of the problem The researchers aim to know the experiences of teenage mothers. 1. What do they feel about being a teenage mom and a student? ⦁ Does being a teenage mom affect their studies? ⦁ What are the struggles that they experienced? ⦁ Theoretical Framework Based on Atty. Alberto Muyot, Chief Executive Officer of Save the Children Philippines, “Early pregnancy forces girls to take on an adult role while their bodies are often not ready." Also, he said, “Early pregnancy can also trap girls in an escapable cycle of poverty, stigmatized by society for being teenage mothers or forced into early marriage. It also creates a greater risk in terms of maternal complications that affect the mother and the child they bear, resulting in low survival rates.” This theory attempts to explain the themes of personal responsibility, choice, and taking control of your life. According to Aurora Almendral who is an award-winning, multi-platform journalist, "The main reasons for the high rate of teenage pregnancies are inadequate sex education (some girls do not know that having sex can result in pregnancy or fully consider the responsibility of having children) and a lack of access to birth control". This idea tries to explain why teenage pregnancy rates are so high. Conceptual Framework INPUT PROCESS OUTPUT Life/ decision skills making Electronic Survey The Researchers are expecting that the respondents will answer based on their perception. High sense efficiency of self The Researchers are expecting that the respondents will answer based on their perception. Emotional and physical safety The Researchers are expecting that the respondents will answer what they experienced. Engagement with learning The Researchers are expecting that the respondents will answer based on their perception and experience. The figure shows the conceptual framework of this study. It serves as the guide in conducting the study starting from the input, followed by the process until the output. The input includes the essential questions that will be answered in the survey process of the study. The output will be the process to obtain the necessary data or information needed in the study. The researchers will use the survey questionnaire as the process of the study. Lastly, the output will hopefully produce a positive view about the purpose of the study. ⦁ Scope and Limitation The overarching goal of this research is to raise awareness among young people about the challenges of being a young mother, as well as to provide insight into the experiences and challenges of a teen mother. The researchers will only have 6 respondents out of a total population of 5.61 percent, 1.87 percent of the people in this area was either teenage mothers or had a teenage pregnancy. The researchers will conduct the survey in the said place located at Lawasan, Poblacion, Norzagaray, Bulacan. Although the research has reached its aims, there are some unavailable limitations. The limitations of this study are some respondents might provide inaccurate information. There might also be an issue of respondents providing false information about themselves as age, or other questions on their demographic profile. This study has potential limitations; the survey will be conducted in an exceedingly small number of respondents. The sample size that was selected was smaller than what is preferred, however researchers will assume it to be representative of the entire population of Lawasan. The identity and the address of the participants will not be included and will not be given to the public because of the privacy agreement. ⦁ Significance of the study This research will benefit not just the adolescent parents of Lawasan Norzagaray, Bulacan, but also all students, teenagers, and young parents. Students, this research will aid students in deepening their comprehension and learning more about the subject. Young women, this research will aid young women in determining their knowledge of the responsibilities of being young parents at such early age. Young Parents, this research could help them to acquire perspective on their situation and become more aware of their roles. This study can help them to clear their minds and have a critical thinking about the decisions that they will make soon. This study can give them an insight into the struggles of being a mother at such an early age and this can open their minds and see reality. It will also be beneficial to future researchers; it can help them to conduct and interpret the importance of the research on how to develop and present the result. ⦁ Definition of Terms Teenage pregnancy - noun.
