Reciprocal nepotism exists when a person is offered some opportunities and encounters sorts of
benefits and favorable treatments due to monetary and financial reasons, improving individual
linkage. As in some norms of society, nepotism is not considered unethical.
Entitlement Nepotism:
In many cases, A person feels that he is the best perfect match for that particular post because of
personal associations. This sort of nepotism is frequent in many organizations.
How to locate nepotism?
The hiring of a family member doesn’t always lead to nepotism. It depends upon the
consequences if the manager has hired them fairly or not. Some of the aspects that should be kept
in mind while discriminating against nepotism involve:
Underqualified employees are being hired
One element that can signify nepotism is the situation when the officials have hired an
underqualified employee. The person is hired with lesser relevant skills for a designation that
requires a highly qualified person with years of experience as well. In such matters, the manager
should clear the point. He should give logics that why he has hired that person.
