RID's Goal Statement - It is the goal of RID to promote the profession of interpreting and transliterating American Sign Language and English. NAD - The mission of the National Association of the Deaf is to promote, protect, and preserve the rights and quality of life of deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the United States of America. ALDA - Association of Late Deafened adults. Today, ALDA's membership is international in scope. ALDA works collaboratively with other organizations around the world serving the needs of late defended people and extends a welcome to everyone, late deafened or not, who supports our goals. Alexander Graham Bell Association - AG Bell is dedicated to the mission of promoting communication for people with hearing loss (mainly oral communication). NTID - The National Technical Institute for the Deaf is the world's first and largest technological college for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. It is one of eight colleges of Rochester Institute of Technology.
