summarize what you have learned about these topics.
o Two Major topics that is associated with child and adolescent psychology is
Cognitive development and social emotional development. When it comes to
cognitive development I have learned that there are many theories that come into
play such as Piaget and Vygotsky. Piaget believed that children go through four
stages of development while Vygotsky believes that children learned from their
environment and socializing with others. Being a childcare teacher I see how both
theories come into play and I in my opinion one is not better than the other.
Children do learn through play and experiences but if you want to go deeper into
their development looking at the four stages that Piaget talks about can give
educators an idea of how the child is developing. When it comes to Social-
emotional development it is just as important. Children rely on adults to feel safe
and secure. Without that bond children can become detached adults who have a
hard time making connections with others.

summarize what you have learned about these topics.
o Two Major topics associated with industrial/ organizational psychology is
leadership skills and work motivation. These two topics go hand in hand because
without good leadership skills then finding motivation that works for your team
will be tough. Being a leader takes patience and being aware of others. As a leader
knowing the kind of person you are working with will make finding a motivation
for them to work easier. Many times motivation at work is hard to find but not
impossible. With the right leader and motivation the company can excel.

Using the topics from Part 1, choose one and locate a scholarly article (dated between
2016 and 2019) that shares recent findings in this domain.
