CATALOG DESCRIPTION ABUS 154 Human Relations - 3.0 Credits This course explores attitudes, self-concepts, personal communication styles, motivation, interactions, positive reinforcements, team building, cultural diversity, decision making, ethics, and leadership development. COURSE PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES Course Purpose The purpose of this course is to provide students with a foundation for understanding the complex behavior patterns of people at work, with practical ideas and methods for promoting positive relationships and improving productivity. Throughout the class, students will explore hypothetical situations and undertake their own action research so they empower themselves with the interpersonal skills needed to succeed in the workplace and life in general.
