1.1 Explain five (5) aspects which neurodiversity focuses on when applied to
education. (5)
Learners’ strengths, talents, abilities, and interests should be assessed.
Teachers should build on strengths and use them to overcome challenges.
Learners who experience barriers to learning are viewed as part of the natural human
variation of all human brains.
The goal of education is to develop human potential.
Learners are guided to maximise their strengths and minimise their weaknesses
1.2 List eight (8) multiple intelligences as identified by Howard Gardner and
mention the skill to include in each one of them, as well as the career
options. (8)
Intelligence Skill Career option
Logical-mathematical. Problem-solving, Analyse engineers, scientists,
problems, Detect patterns, economists, accountants,
Mathematical calculations, detectives, bankers or
Scientific reasoning and computer programmers
deduction

others. Self-aware and in
tune with inner feelings,
values, beliefs and thinking
processes
1.3 Give four (4) advantages of multiple intelligences. (4)
Makes the curriculum more understandable to learners.
Motivates learners to learn more effectively.
Enhances learners’ connection with what they are learning.
Encourages learners and teachers to enjoy a more active learning approach.
1.4 Analyse four (4) learning styles. (16)
Visual- - learning through seeing things and picture that is studied. Learning takes
place through reading notes and writing summaries.
Auditory- Learners learn through musical sounds and listening to people. A teacher
can record outside events and bring them into the classroom using a radio or cassette
recorder, videos can help learners also by hearing, listening and watching a video.
Read/Write- – prefers written text, learning is emphasized on text-based input and
output. Learners learn through reading and writing.
Kinesthetic - learning through moving, touching, and experiencing things. It involves
hands-on experience and going outside the classroom to investigate. Learners do
physical exercise, handcrafting and gardening.
1.5 Give details on the three (3) principles guiding the teacher’s use of the
Developmental milestone. (6)
Flexibility: The developmental milestones are universally applicable. In other words, they
provide a guideline for the knowledge and skills that all learners across the world are
expected to know and be able to do at specific ages or stages of development. Since many
factors influence learning, including nutrition, family background or exposure to learning
opportunities, teachers should always flexibly apply the developmental milestones.
