This manual is designed to accompany Theory and Practice of Counseling and Psycho
therapy, Tenth Edition (Cengage Learning, 2017), and Case Approach to Counseling and
Psychotherapy, Eighth Edition (Cengage Learning, 2013). The manual is aimed at helping
you personalize the process by which you lear n.about counseling theories and therapeutic
practice. It emphasizes the practical application of various therapeutic approaches to your
personal growth. And it stresses the critical evaluation of each therapy as you are called on
