ト Flow of Fluids:
Manometer and it's types.
1. Introduction:
flow of Fluid -
Flow means. the deformation of the substance by their movement.
Example Flow of liquid or gas.
fluid:
fluid is a substance that Continually deform (flows) under an applied
shear stress
fluids are a subset of the phases of matters. and include liquid and gasses.
fluid static:
. Fluid Statics deals with the fluids at rest in equilibrium
(Behavior of liquid at rest)
. Nature & Pressure it exerts and the. variation of Pressure at diff layers
(Pressure diff b/w the layers of liquids)
Fluid dynamics:
Fluid dynamics deals with the study of fluids in motion
, ⚫ This knowledge is important for liquids, gels, ointments which will change
their flow behavior when exposed to different stress conditions
. MIXING
. FLOW THROUGH PIPES
. FILLED IN CONTAINER
Manometar :
It is a device used to the measure pressure of any fluid
key points :
densities:
A liquid with high density is taken.
ех: mercury
(Called Reference fluid)
• Measure Gauge Pressure
∆P = P - P° = PgH.
(The Pressure, Measured relative to the ambient atmospheric Pressure.)
Manometers operate on Principle of hydrostatic balance,
types of manometers :
Manometers are classified into 3 types
1. Simple. Momometer.
2. differential Manometer.
