Notes on THE HUMAN DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
The digestive system is a complex network of organs, each with its own unique function. The mouth is where digestion begins, as the teeth and tongue break down food into smaller pieces. The esophagus then transports the food to the stomach, where it is further broken down by stomach acid. The small intestine absorbs nutrients from the food, while the large intestine removes water and waste products. Finally, the rectum and anus expel the waste from the body. It's amazing how all these organs work together to keep our bodies healthy!
