QUESTION 1: REFLECTION
When I registered for ENN1504, I did not know what to expect because I had never
taken an English module before. However, after reading the tutorial letter 101, I
realised that this module will enhance my knowledge and understanding of business
English in organisational environment, and equip me with better writting skills.
What I found exciting about this module is that my creativity has improved
enormously. The assignments have helped me to think creatively and learn more. In
addition to that, the use of livestreaming, videos and PowerPoint presentations has
helped me to understand the module better. Regarding the communication kills that
I have learned during this module, I notice that I have made a great improvement in
my life.
The greatest challenge for me was time management I had to work and study at the
same time. I had deadlines to meet yet time was so limited. The late marking of
assignments has impacted me negatively because I am not able to see where I need
to improve.
The amount of information and knowledge that I have gathered from ENN1504 has
been so educative to a point where I feel like I have confidence that I will produce
well written work related documents such as emails, minutes of meetings and
investigate reports for my future job.

I am writting this email to inform you that I will not be able to attend the next strategic
meeting scheduled for 25 May 2020 due to my health issues.
On the 19th of May 2020 I went to consult a doctor regarding my severe backaches
that I have been suffering from. The doctor recommended that I have to go under
surgery and gave me a referral letter to go to the hospital for the procedure.
According to what the doctor said, I will stay in the hospital for three weeks while I
recover.
I have requested my colleague , Mr R. Xulu, the Administrator to present the report
on my behalf. l have provided him with everything that is required for the
presentation. I am confident that the meeting will go as planned.
