● Nanomaterial are the class of material having at least one
dimension should be in the nm range and specifically 1-
100 nm.
● Properties of Nanomaterials are different from bulk
material due to higher surface area (102m2/gm) than bulk
material (cm2/gm) and quantum effect at the nm range.
● Nanomaterials dimension are in the range of molecule,
protein, DNA, virus, bacteria etc.
● 1-100 nm=Nano Material
● 100nm-100um=Micro Material
● 100um-100mm=Bulk Material
