Abstract:
This case study examines the intricate management of a 65-year-old woman presenting with
Graves’ disease and an associated thyroid nodule. The study meticulously outlines the
patient's clinical history, comprehensive examination, diagnostic evaluations, treatment
decisions, and subsequent outcomes. The complexities of addressing thyroid nodules in the
context of Graves’ disease are underscored, highlighting the importance of a tailored,
multidisciplinary approach for effective patient care.
Introduction:
Graves’ disease is a widely encountered endocrine disorder characterized by hyperthyroidism
resulting from autoimmune stimulation of the thyroid gland. Thyroid nodules, on the other
hand, can pose diagnostic and therapeutic challenges due to their potential association with
malignancy. This case study focuses on the management of a patient with Graves’ disease
complicated by the presence of a thyroid nodule.
