Introduction
In this task I will select one holiday destination and using that destination, I will be
focusing on making realistic recommendation as to how the city could increase its
appeal as well as draw in broader type of visitors from the UK, not the types that they
usually attract. I will link my recommendations to the tourist types that do not go to
Barcelona.
Recommendations
- Decrease the number of tourist coming in by focussing more on the quality of
tourists, not quantity.
- Up their security at airports, train stations, and all the other popular sites.
- Focus on promoting the unpopular attractions.
- Build more attractions in the city such as theme parks etc.
- Building more budget priced accommodation
- Barcelona should start decongesting the popular areas in the city that consists
of more than 3 hotels. Basically, to situate the hotels across the city, not just
in one are.
- Tackle the problem of having too many un licensed accommodation.
- Encourage coexistence between the residents and tourists
Target group
The My target group that I am going to focus on is going to be young people who are
under the age of 19 and old people that are over the age of 55.
