list as it is a common thing to achieve. It is engraved in plentiful of minds that a university education
is of the utmost importance in order to qualify for a successful life and this statement is true in many
cases: we learn to become more mature-minded since most strive to work hard in an independent
environment, clearer minds are formed for those still doubtful of their role in society and university
provides certain skills which help students to thrive in specific careers for which would be
unattainable if not for higher education. in polarity, many argue that a higher education is not
always given priority due to a myriad of acclaimed role models who have not graduated from
university not to mention in today’s era, prospects of career for the non-graduated are increasing
ever so quickly.
Many teenagers and young adults get confused and doubtful when asked the dire question,
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” As we grow up, we start to think of this question in
more depth and thus starts the dilemma. Fortunately, many go to community colleges or universities
in order to figure themselves out as well as find what career best suits them and their personalities.
For many it is a place where knots get untied and decisive answers are uncovered. Study shows that
an estimated 20 to 50 percent of students enter college as ‘undecided’ while around 70 percent
change their major at least once during their education. These facts solidify the claim that being in
university can help those 20 to 50 percent to filter through the options and test out of waters for the
course that is right for them. As the quote goes, “a decisive mind is a successful mind.”
