It will be easy to get the information through an email because
all of the pupils in Penglais School have their own personal
Email email. Also in Sixth Form pupils sign a learning agreement where
Student Body Finger scanner the pupils are contracted to check their email daily.
Penglais School use finger scanners in the sixth form centre so
that they can see what pupils are in and out of school in case of
a fire they will know who needs to be in school at that time.
If the school is shut due to bad weather the parents will get an
Parents Texts email or text message (only if they sign up to the parent mail).
Email Also the parents can contact the school if their son/daughter is
ill so they will not go down as an unauthorised.
The school teachers can find out any information that is needed
about a pupil via e portal. For example their lessons for the day,
Staff Eportal registers, and any personal information that is needed. Also if a
pupil is missing or the teachers need to get any important
information a teacher can put that relative information on the
homepage which means that all teachers can see what is going
on.
It is important for the governors to be accessible by email
because if a parent has an enquiry that the school can’t handle
Governors Email they can contact a governor and enquire about their problem.
Phone call The governors are also accessible by phone. This is easier for old
members of the public who aren’t quite up to date with
electronic devices or struggle using them.
The school has their own website where they have all the
information that may be needed by anyone. The website is
Local School Website accessible to everyone and it is a good way to get source of
Community News information easily.
Penglais is very often in the newspaper due to the exam results
and any fund raising days. Also Penglais School has their own
newsletter to keep the parents informed about any upcoming
events.
Mr Brown and Mrs Griffiths go to the primary schools around
the area to the yr6 students in these videos they show all of the
things that the school will offer to the new students and almost
Feeder schools Videos ‘sell’ the school to the students. Also they use power points to
Powerpoint explain to the children what they will be doing in Penglais
School and what to expect.
