M2 – Assess how effective the management of physical recourse is in complying
with 3 legal requirements in your business
Assessing the management of the companies resources through the compliance
of legal factors are of great importance to all companies, including McDonalds.
The resource managers responsibility is to ensure that all legal requirements are
met throughout the physical resources they are assisting with. Throughout this
assignment I will be assessing the effectiveness of the management of physical
resources, and how well they comply with a specific law.
Equal opportunities is a law at which has the biggest effect over every
organisation due to the fact that it can potentially alter many of the recourses
that the business has available. This legal requirement states that those with
disabilities are to be treated of an equal standard, and are not victimised from
opportunities because of this. Every employee is to be treated correspondingly by
all upper powers within the organisation, including the recourse manger. The
effectiveness at which this job is performed with McDonalds is deemed to be
satisfactory, the company offers many disability facilities such as a disabled toilet,
automatic doors, large signage and font for those visually impaired and disabled
parking. However the key physical resource that will be concentrated on within

wording to ensure that those who are visually impaired can be assisted. Those
who are unable to read and understand English are also assisted through this
software due to the fact that language can be altered to fit the need of the
consumer This act at which the HR manager is performing allows for the
organisation to comply with the law which also allows for this company recognise
its customer base alongside their needs. Meeting the needs of those with
disabilities is not only a legal requirement, but also an ethical one. The support at
which this recourse manger provides is of a good standard due to the fact that
though this job involves a lot of physical work there are other resources available
to assist those with disabilities, as mentioned before. A negative point involved
within this legal requirement, alongside the specific software associated with the
employment stage, is that it’s very time consuming to alter each document
needed to fit each person’s individual need, especially if the application process
