Dr S.A. Coetzee is a senior lecturer at the University of South Africa. She has been
involved in education law for the past 14 years. Dr Coetzee holds the following
qualifications: BA Ed (RAU) 1984; BEd (PU for CHE) 1989; MEd (PU for CHE)
1991; DEd (UNISA) 1997; Certificate Programme in Law (UNISA) 1999 and LLB
(UNISA) 2006. She has published in accredited journals and regularly acts as a ref-
eree for various journals.
Prof. E.J. van Niekerk is professor at the University of South Africa. He has been
involved in various part-disciplines of education for the past 20 years. He holds the
following qualifications: BA (UPE) 1975; BEd (UPE) 1983; MEd (cum laude) (UPE)
1986; DEd (Unisa) 1993 and HED (US) 1976. He has published chapters in several
books and has published extensively in accredited and other journals.
Dr J.L. Wydeman has been involved with the education and training of educators
since 1980. He also spent ten years at the Human Sciences Research Council,
focusing on curriculum development and Adult Basic Education and Training. He
has done materials and course development over a wide spectrum of formal and
non-formal learning fields. In 2000 he became an educational consultant and is cur-
rently involved with educator training and development at UNISA and Tshwane
University of Technology.
