Failure, Mechanical Ventilation Medication Calculation Exam Mon/Tues first day of class Chapters 1, 2, 9, & 14 Review ABG’s , Care of patients with acute respiratory failure, patient on tracheostomy and ET tube with mechanical ventilator Week 2 May 9-13 Basic Dysrhythmias with code management and comfort and sedation Chapters 5,7 & 10 Successful completion of math exam Quiz- 5 points (W/TH) Review pain assessments and pain scales to patient on critical care, interpret basic telemetry strip/code management Week 3 May 16-20 Hemodynamics, Shock, Sepsis, & MOF Exam One Mon/tues Chapters 1, 2, 5, 7, 9, & 14 Before the exam, students should complete 50 evolve questions with an average score of 80% – 10 points(drop it in the dropbox in ecollege) Chapter 8, & 11 (begin reading) Case study submission (in-class)- 15 points (W/TH) Care of patients with hemodynamic instability;CHF, sepsis Nursing responsibilities for patient with hemodynamic equipment’s.
