Datum van uitvoering experiment: 15-03-2017 en 22-03-2017
Productie van bio ethanol uit aardappelzetmeel
Summary
The aim of this experiment is to produce bio ethanol. At the beginning of this experiment the
enzyme amylase has been used to convert potato starch to glucose. This glucose has been converted
to ethanol with the use of baker’s yeast. The yield of this part of the experiment is: 14,42 %. This
corresponds to 4,005 grams of glucose. The ethanol concentration has been determined with a GC.
Measuring the weight decrease and the decrease of the glucose concentration is another way to
determine the ethanol concentration. These methods were also used in this experiment. The
spectrophotometer has been used to measure the decrease in glucose concentration. The reagent
Roche Glucose GOD-PAP, R1 has been used to color the analyte. The results of this experiment are
shown in table 1.

1. Inleiding
1.1 Doel
