Medieval → The 15th AD, almost 1000 years in Europe is the medieval age.

Reformation → the action or process of reforming an institution or practice.
→ a 16th-century movement for the reform of abuses in the Roman Catholic Church ending in
the establishment of the Reformed and Protestant Churches.
● Occurred during Renaissance times. It was split in the Catholic Church where a new
type of Christianity called Protestantism was born.
Martin Luther, a monk began to question the practices of the Catholic Church as he
studied the bible.
Divorce
People can’t get a divorce after getting married due to church corruption.
In the 15th Century, King Henry VIII wanted a divorce from his wife, Catherine, and
decided to split from the Roman Catholics and create his church called the Church of England
which would allow him to get a divorce. He likes to sleep with women and kill them afterward.
He wanted to marry this one woman named Anne Boylene, the mother of Queen Elizabeth I. He
declared another church, called England Church with him as the leader, not the pope.
The changes that were brought by Henry VIII, Protestantism:
1. You can get a divorce.
2. You can interpret the religion by reading the bible yourself.
Renaissance → the birth of new, rebirth. The period is 14th to 17th century in Europe.
This era bridged the time between the Middle Ages and the modern age.
Had a huge impact on literature, philosophy, art, music, astronomy, etc.

, Vasco da Gama → 1st Count of Vidigueira was a Portuguese explorer and the first
European to reach India by sea.
Christopher Columbus → Christopher Columbus discovered South America
on October 12, 1492, but it was all by chance – a mistake. The explorer had been looking for an
easier route from Europe to Asia when he came across the huge land that no one from Europe
even knew about.
Amerigo Vespucci → On May 10, 1497, explorer Amerigo Vespucci embarked on his
first voyage. On his third and most successful voyage, he discovered present-day Rio de
Janeiro and Rio de la Plata. He found North America.
