“manufacturing” is far from being correct.
“Manufacturing” involves the application of :
machines, tools, power, labour etc.
to achieve the desired result of producing
a component, machine, appliance etc.

“Manufacturing” is the process of adding value to
materials.
Using one or more processing and/or
assembly operations
changing shape or properties and/or
combining it with other materials
add value to the materials
ore is converted into metal - value is added.
sand is transformed into glass - value is added.
petroleum is converted into plastic
- value is added.
plastic is moulded-
complex geometry – vale is added.
