1. State the coefficient of an algebraic term.
2. Grouping positive and negative terms to simplify an algebraic expression.
3. Grouping like and unlike terms to simplify an algebraic expression
4. Solving word problems by forming and simplifying algebraic expressions.

Teaching Activities
Starter:
Main: (i) Teacher explains the topic (Algebraic Simplication) to the students (ii) Teacher solves
different problems and solve solution on each question. .
(iii) Pupils are asked questions on the topic.
Extension Task(s): i) Pupils are asked to answer some questions on the topic.
Plenary: Teacher gives a summary of lesson by highlighting salient points
