,Factors affecting the incidence of CVD.
1. Increasing age Studies on CHD have shown that
the probability of pre-mature death
2. Genetic factors from heart diseases is not equally
3. Being a male distributed. Individual’s risk of CHD
increase with number of risks
4. Hypertension carried by the individual
5. Smoking
6. High levels of blood cholesterol
7. Large Alcohol intake
8. Obesity/overweight/physical inactivity
9. Diabetes
10. Dietary issues
11. stress

, Factors that cant be changed or controlled
=non modifiable
1. Increasing age:
As blood vessels elasticity decrease and narrow slightly.
80% of the people that die of CVD aged 65 and more
After age 35 in men and 45 in women, dying of CVD increase
dramatically.
2. Genetic factors:
Occurrence of heart attacks at early age frequently runs in families
Children of parents with CHD are more likely to develop the
condition too
Some races are more prone to CVD and strokes e.g Afrocarribeans.
3. Male Gender:
Y chromosome predisposes a great risk of CVD than that carried by
females.
