Introduction
Daily workouts and essential exercises done over a long time have suggested to improve
the health quality of the individual partaking in them. While medics explain the keeping fit is an
easy way to keep off hospitals, research has shown that it does more than that. Their view of the
importance of exercise has proven to be an understatement of the advantages that accompany a
fit individual.
While the aging process is a natural one which can’t be stopped, research has indicated
that some practices are very effectful in controlling the aging process. Exercising regularly has
topped the list of methods which control aging and therefore reducing the mortality levels among
individuals (Gremeaux, 2018). The list also includes healthy diets and nutrition which generally
help to strengthen the body internally to enhance its response to pathogens. Exercise on the other
hand focuses on building and improving the physical functionality of the body.
The benefits of exercise vary according to the intensity put during the work out sessions.
The intensity is usually advised by medics after an individual test is undertaken. This enables one
to build the body rather than harm it. The type of workout is also influential when it comes to the
success of the exercise.
Short term and long-term benefits of exercise

Being a great distraction, exercising regularly helps fight depression and anxiety. This
may not be a medical solution but it goes a great way in preventing depression which in a normal
society is a great problem. During exercises, you can get enough time to think through things and
give your body a fighting spirit by doing strenuous exercises hence developing a “never give up”
attitude towards things in life. Scientifically, the body is forced to release endorphins which
usually gives a feeling of being well. Endorphins is associated with bringing about a positive
feeling hence you can remain positive instead of thinking of depressive thoughts.
Research has shown that mental acuity can be developed by regularly exercising. A
healthy mind is essential in performing daily tasks in life. The sharpness of the mind contributes
a lot to the productivity of an individual. Exercising regularly has proved to increase the short-
and long-term memory in a person. The individual may also find it much easier to concentrate
and learn new skills. This improves the lifestyle and confidence of the said individual as more
skills results to more ways of channeling income. This therefore improves the societal standards
as a whole.
Exercising regularly opens up the air channels hence increasing the uptake of oxygen into
the body (Kujala, 2018). Oxygen in the body is broken down to bring about more energy in the
body. This is contrary to the belief of getting tired after exercises but research has shown that
repeated fitness workouts help the body in becoming more energetic. Although one may feel
tired immediately after working out, the body will adapt to higher intake of oxygen and the blood
will take more oxygen giving out more energy. Energy is essential in doing daily tasks and
carrying out important activities. While most exercises are expected to have advantages to the
body, anaerobic exercise have been seen to give less benefits for cardiovascular health when they
