check-call-care ✔✔1. check the scene and the person
2. if the person is unconscious call 911
3. check for breathing no longer than 10 seconds
4. check for severe bleeding
5. if person is not breathing, give CARE by beginning cpr with 30 chest compressions followed
by 2 rescue breaths
adult cpr -after checking the scene and person ✔✔1. give 30 chest compressions-push hard and
fast in the center of the chest at least 2 inches deep, 100 compressions/min
2. give 2 rescue breaths- tilt the head back and lift chin, pinch the nose shut and make complete
seal over the persons mouth and blow for 1 second until chest clearly rises
3. continue cycles of CPR, do not stop unless obvious signs of life, and aed is ready to use,
another person takes over, you are exhausted, the scene becomes unsafe
4. if breaths do not make chest rise, recheck the airway for any blockages or possible
unconsicous choking situation
