High school student in Khartoum State
*Dr.. Ashraf Muhammad Ahmed Ali
Study summary:
This study aimed to know the general characteristic of self-confidence among secondary school students
As well as knowing the correlation between self-confidence, student self-esteem, and knowledge
Differences in self-confidence among students attributed to the gender variable and knowledge of the interaction between
Age level and gender affect student self-confidence. The study sample consisted of
(300) male and female secondary school students, including (150) male and (150) female students. Their ages
ranged between (13-18 years) and they were selected using a simple random sampling method from the study
population. The following tools were applied to them: the self-confidence measure. And
Self-esteem scale.
The study used the following statistical methods:
1. T-test for one population.
2. Pearson correlation coefficient.
3. T-test for two independent samples.
4. Two-way analysis of variance.
The study reached the following results:
1. The general self-confidence of secondary school students is characterized by high.

Abstract
This study aims at investigating the general characteristics of self-
confidence among undergraduate students, knowing the correlation
between self-confidence and self-esteem among undergraduate
students, the differences between male and female undergraduate
students in self-confidence, and the interaction between age level
and gender on self-confidence. The study sample consisted of (300)
undergraduate students; (150) male students and (150) female
students, their ages ranged between (18-28) years. The sample
was randomly selected and the following tools were used: Self-
confidence questionnaire 2 - Self-esteem questionnaire
The collected data were analyzed statistically by:
1. Person's correlation coefficient.
2. T-test
3. Two-factor variance analysis.
The study resulted in:
1- The general characteristics of high self-confidence for
undergraduate students.
2 - There is a relationship between self-confidence and self-esteem
among undergraduate students.
3 - There are differences between male and female undergraduate
students in self-confidence.
4 - There is no statistically significant interaction between age level
and gender on self-confidence among undergraduate students.
