DIRECTIONAL TERMS




1. Anterior/ventral = front side, side where the stomach lays Posterior/dorsal = back side, side of the back
2. Medial = to the centre Lateral / Peripheral = away from the centre
3. Superior/Cranial = above .. top side Inferior/caudal = under… bottom side
4. Proximal = to the origin Distal = away from the origin
5. Superficial = more to the surface than (oppervlakkig) Deep = more covered, deeper in the body
6. Sinister = left Dexter= right
