Affect - answeremotions and sensations - feelings

thinking process that includes them

accomplish our goals. It requires honest self-examination and usually also benefits
others. It is supposed to make us see our full potential
ABC interaction - answera cause-and-effect relationship among affect, behavior, and
cognition. The impact of each ABC component upon another
firing order - answerspecifies the trigger as well as the order in which a person
experiences the ABC components of an ABC interaction
trigger - answerthe ABC component that begins the firing order
downward spiral - answerwhen a series of ABC interactions become increasingly
counterproductive and lead to a negative experience
upward spiral - answerwhen the interaction of the ABC's leads to increasingly
productive or positive experiences
