Renaming a File
To rename the file student present under the Local Disk (C:) to book, perform the
following steps:
1. Move the mouse- pointer over the file student and click the right mouse button just once.
Immediately, a pop - up menu appears.
2. In the pop-up menu move the mouse-pointer over the Rename option and click on the
left mouse button just once.
3. The filename student gets highlighted. Now type the new name book
Deleting a File
To delete the file student present inside the temp sub-folder, use the following step
1. Locate the temp sub-folder, and double click it.
2. Immediately, the contents of the tempsub-folder gets displayed.
3. Move the mouse pointer over the file student and click the left mouse button just once to
highlight it.
4. Right click the mouse button. Instantly,a pull-down menu appears.
5. Inside the pull-down menu, move the mouse-pointer over the Delete option and click the
left mouse button. Immediately, a Confirm File Delete dialog box appears on the
screen.
6. Finally, click on the Yes button in the Confirm File Delete box. The file student now
disappears from the contents box which means it has been successfully removed from
the Recycle Bin.
Emptying the recycle Bin
If you remove a deleted file from the recycleBin, it will be permanently removed from
your computer. Let us now remove the student from the Recycle Bin.
1. Move the mouse-pointer over the Recycle Bin icon on the Desktop.
2. Click the mouse button on it. Immediately, a pop-up menu gets displayed.
3. Inside the pop-up menu, move the mouse-pointer over the Empty recycle Bin option
and click the left mouse-button. Immediately, the Confirm File delete dialog box
appears on the screen, asking you to confirm whether the particular file has to be
erased. Inside the Confirm File Delete box, move the mouse-pointer over the Yes
button and click the left mouse button. Instantly, the file student is removed from the
Recycle Bin, which becomes empty.
