Proposed Study:
COMPLIANCE AND AWARENESS ON DEPED POLICIES ON FOOD SAFETY IN
ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
Discussion:
I proposed this study to give a high priority on heathy food and nutrition for the learners
to improve their learning ability, and leading to better academic performance. In this world
we work in order to live, with this we must ensure that our food in takes are nutritious. In
other words food, as one of the basic needs of man, it provides health requirements of a
person in order to live.
My concern as a teacher, was about the school canteens that sometimes neglected by
other school heads. I notice that the food served and provided in the canteen are more
sugary and fatty food instead of making a balance meal. So, I came up to this study that
every school canteens should be aware and comply the policies that we have to do in
providing food for the learners.
The Department of Education made a policies about what food should be sell in the
canteens so that to avoid health risk for the children, and leading to a better academic
performance. Thus, I made this proposed study to let all of the teachers or school
administrator to take control on the canteen. Because you us an educator should be
aware more of the risk and low performance level of the child because of what he/she
ate.
