Autoshapes
The Autoshapes toolbar provides features useful for drawing several geometrical shapes,
arrows, flowchart symbols, stars, and banners on the document.
View-> toolbars->drawing -> Autoshapes
Click lines button on the auto shape toolbar to draw different types of lines.
Click on basic shapes to select from many two and three dimensional shapes icon braces and
brackets.
Select block arrows to choose from many types of two and three dimensional arrows.
Select flowchart to add flow chart elements to the document and use the line menu to draw
connectors between these elements.
Select stars and banners to select stars and banners.
Select callouts to insert speech and bubbles and line callouts.
Click more autoshapes to choose more shapes.
Create a new caption label
1.On the Insert menu, click Caption.
2.Click New Label.
3.In the Label box, type the label you want.
Note The new caption label is available the next time you add a caption.
Insert a text box
1.On the Drawing toolbar, click Text Box
2.Click or drag in your document where you want to insert the text box.
Footnote
A footnote consists of some supplementary text that is printed at the bottom of the page.
Creating a footnote
1.First ensure that you are working in print layout view. Position your text insertion point in the
main body of the text.
2.Select insert ->Reference ->Footnote
3.The footnote and Endnote dialogue box will open
Creating a Table :
There are different methods you can use to insert a table into your Word document. If you are
less experienced with tables, then you might want to consider using the "Insert Table"option.
Otherwise, you can use"Draw Table", which lets you make a table from scratch by drawing it
freehand using the Draw Table tool.
Insert Table:
In your document, place the cursor where you wish to insert a table. Then,Goto the menu bar
and select Table>>Insert>>Table.
After you make this selection, the "Insert Table" window will pop up.
