INTRODUCTION
The city of Ember was published in May 2003. The city of Ember is a book
based on an almost bunker type underground city that gives vibes of a cave.
City of Ember contains multiple characters with the main characters being
Lina and Doon. They both went to the same school and had jobs to work for
the city of Ember and get asignments.
LINAS STORY
Lina is a 12 year old girl who worked as a messenger and took great
responsibility and care of her sister and grandmother. Lina was an almost
fearless character and was pretty tough natured. She loved running as the
breeze blushed her dark hair as she ran from a distance to another. Lina had
an assessment day where she got her first job. Linas first job on the
assessment day was a pipework laborer and it was not her type.
DOONS STORY
Doon who is also one of the main characters of the story is a 12 year old boy
who was quite an intelligent and happy person. He loved studying because his
mind was very tactical so he studied different things like creatures. Doon
wanted to be an electrician assistant as it was not an easy job but an exiting
one. Doon was the one to agree on switching jobs with his friend Lina and got
the dreadful job of pipeworks. Doons family members were his father who
really loved Doon with the bottom of his heart. He was great friends with Lina
and would go explore the City of Ember and its wonders.
SIDE CHARACTERS
One of the side characters in the book City of Ember is Lina's sister poppy,
poppy was a very happy and energetic character who loved to wonder of to
see what is really happening around her and in the city. Linas grandmother
