They execute security evaluations, risk assessments, tests for vulnerabilities, research security standards and protocols, and authentication tests. Information Security Engineer Ensuring the safety of enterprises' computer systems and networks from intrusions (Li et al., 2019). Guard corporate networks from data breaches, human mistake, or cyberattacks. Ensure the organization is secure from potential security threats. They are in charge of configuring network security settings, performing penetration tests, developing and implementing adequate countermeasures to cyber threats, putting network security policies into practice, and installing and maintaining security software like firewalls or backups.
