In most of the architecture enterprises, the management employs the use of TOGAF and it provides an approach that can be applied in designing, implementation, planning, and many others. Applications of TOGAF include the governing of any enterprise information or else technology architecture. There are also numerous undertaking structures accessible to browsed to characterize the business forms. However, each of the qualities have some advantages and disadvantages. Introduction This project discusses the TOGAF, which is an enterprise architecture framework. This paper discusses the strengths and weaknesses of TOGAF and also the framework and application of the TOGAF within any organization. TOGAF can be defined as a framework that is used in architecture enterprises, and it provides an approach that can be applied in designing, implementation, planning, and many others.   Discussion Enterprise architecture is mostly based on architectural frameworks, and they can be defined as the frameworks that have a structure in which the key components of the same structure and these structures have some relationships. TOGAF is The Open Group Architecture Framework, and it was published by an open group in the year 2009. However, the open group had a well documentations of the knowledge which was comprised of various detailed messages some tools that supported it. In order to develop TOGAF, this enterprise architecture has to be maintained by the members of the Open Group. It is also seen that the original framework of the software architecture called TOGAF was developed in the year 1995. This time, the development of the system software was successful, and through the recent years, people have improved it by use of researched knowledge and tools. TOGAF is very important because it helps a lot in the process of organization and documentation of the enterprise architecture.1 When most of the organization in the United States use TOGAF, they develop and make some architecture which has a consistency and that can reflect the need of important people in the firm such as the employees, stakeholders, and many others. Therefore, it can be said that this enterprise architecture meets the recent requirements in the organization, and in many cases it allows the stakeholders to develop, design, construct, and also evaluate any type of flexible architects. However, TOGAF is said to be the international standard that can be used in designing and constructing enterprise architecture. TOGAF can also be described as a framework that is used in architecture enterprises, and it provides an approach that can be applied in designing, implementation, planning, and many others. However, TOGAF can be applied in the governing of any enterprise information or else technology architecture. It is also true to state that frameworks for enterprises may determine how to use and use the enterprise architecture of this framework. The framework has been considered effective in governing, implementing, planning, and designing of the framework that is used within an organization. Since the creation of the framework, many organizations have applied the framework in creating solutions to their information technology structures, which has attained effectiveness in operations associated with the Information Technology (IT) structure. Again, TOGAF was developed in the 1990s, and people used it as a tool for obtaining the effectiveness in the architecture of Information and Technology. The presentation of the first version of TOGAF was done in the year 1995, and this structure was based on the early structures developed in the United States by the Department of Defense. There have been various versions of TOGAF since 1995 which have been released, and these versions have been used to attain different roles and objectives in the sector of Information and Technology. However, TOGAF has four architecture domains such as technical architecture, application architecture, technical architecture, and also data architecture. Recently, the latest version of TOGAF was released in the year 2011, and people considered it as one of the more effective Enterprise architecture version than the other previous designs.2 Applications of TOGAF TOGAF is used in many industries, and one of these organizations is the Dairy Farm Group. This company is in the sector of retailers, and it has shown improvements and success in recent years. It was also announced as one of the top retailer companies in Asia. Moreover, in the Asian Pacific region, Dairy Farm Company was also improving retailor firms and this was brought up due to the use of TOGAF in most of its operations. The Dairy Farm Company also used the TOGAF to create a single infrastructure in Information and Technology. However, the company used this Enterprise Architecture to support the technical architecture for the company. There is also another company that uses TOGAF in the United Kingdom. The name of this organization is the Department of Social Security, and it uses this Enterprise Architecture to manage most of its Information Technology architecture. Nevertheless, this company uses TOGAF in the management of the services delivered and most of the services are outsourced and the basis of the framework in architecture. The other organization that applies TOGAF in its operations is Quality Assurance Consulting. This organization uses TOGAF to improve most of the effectiveness of Information Technology in its enterprises. However, the company has recently been focusing on the provision of quality Information Technology expertise and in the improvement of the skills of individuals working within the organization.
