Nation-Nation states:
Classical nationalist approach:
Says nations were always there but people didn’t know
Nations were dormant and national consciousness was sleeping
There are leaders or nationalist movements that awaken the national consciousness in people
When such movements are successful, nation state is formed
Anti-essential approach:
No such entities called nations before
In modern era, nationalist movements/leaders mobilized masses and propogate for nation states using building blocks
and nation state established if successful
That nation state produces a nation
