, INLEIDING

6,7 miljoen doden en minstens 860 miljard euro aan gezondheidsuitgaven heeft
diabetes in 2021 wereldwijd gekost. De prevalentie van diabetes type 2 is
drastisch gestegen en verantwoordelijk voor 90% van de 537 miljoen volwassen
diabetespatiënten. Zonder efficiënte maatregelen als meer bewegen is de
verwachting dat het aantal diabetespatiënten zal stijgen tot 783 miljoen in 2045
(International Diabetes Federation, 2021).

Onderstaand verslag betreft het tentamen ‘Groepsgerichte preventie” van
Module 6 ‘Samenwerken aan gezondheidsbevordering’. In deze module staan de
Canadian Medical Education Directions for Specialist (CanMEDS) rollen:
‘gezondheidsbevorderaar’, 'reflectieve EBP professional', ‘samenwerkingspartner’
en ‘communicator’ centraal (Lambregts et al., 2020).

De uitgewerkte casus betreft een groep patiënten, woonachtig in Groningen,
woonzorgcentrum Mercator TSN. Er wordt een methodische groepsinterventie
ontworpen voor de doelgroep met een leefstijlprobleem onvoldoende beweging
bij het gezondheidsprobleem diabetes type 2.
