Aims
The aim of the company is to supply service and products that improve the customers’
physical appearance and mental state. We want to implement mobile technology to help us
improve our experience and service for our customers.
Objectives
The company wants to buy and implement the latest mobile technologies within 6 months
from starting the business. At least a week before we offcially start the business, we would
also need to employ a receptionist that will greet the customers and take payments for
services and products. In the frst week, we also want to purchase iPad’s so that the
customers can book appointments instead of waiting in the queue to the receptionist.
The company could also create an app so that the customers could book their appointments
online, so they could just visit the salon for the appointment and not waste their time on
coming in to book an appointment. They may want to use the Kinect sensor with a smart
mirror, so their customers can virtually check how would they look in diferent haircut
styles.
Strategies
Satisfy clients with their service, as word of mouth is the best advertisement for this type of
business. When the customer leaves the salon with a new haircut, they are broadcasting the
name of our business to the public like their family and friends. New clients will come
mostly from the word of mouth of the existing clients. We will also reward clients with
vouchers and promotions, depending on how many new clients they will bring into the
business. We will also use a smart mirror that is connected to a Kinect sensor. The Kinect
sensor will detect the hair of the customer, and the customer would be able to use a swipe
gesture to look through the variety of haircuts we provide. This will allow the customer to
see how they would look in diferent haircuts and would enable them to make their mind up
quicker. This also means that there would be new customers coming, as they would like to
interact with something new and innovative in the hair and beauty industry.
We would also use snapchat stories that customers could upload their new haircut photos.
This could be used for feedback as well as getng a wider range of clients. This would help in
advertising the business by social media. Thanks to snapchat being based on photo sharing,
it would beneft our business that is located in the industry in which it is essential to post
photos.
