Demographics Assessment:
Sentinel City is a simulation city that this paper is based on. The material on this paper
has been obtained through the simulation city and the information that was provided on the
website. Sentinel City has an overall population of 634,265 (Sentinel City, 2017). The city has
four neighborhoods. They are Nightingale Square, Acer Tech Center, Casper Park District and
Industrial Heights. Casper Park District has the highest population at 352,643 (Sentinel City,
2017). The neighborhood with the lowest population is Industrial Heights at 38,855 (Sentinel
City, 2017). Acer Tech Center has a population of 168,390 and Nightingale Square with a
population of 103,974 (Sentinel City, 2017). Sentinel City has an overall ethnicity of 80.6%
being Caucasian, 10.4% being African American, 31.5% being Hispanic, 2.0% being American
Indian and Alaska Native alone, 3.7% being Asian, Native Hawaiian and 0.2% being Other
Pacific Islander alone and 3.1% being two or more races (Sentinel City, 2017). Nightingale
Square has a primary ethnicity of 81.3% being Caucasian and the secondary ethnicity being 3.7%
Hispanic or Latino. Industrial Heights has a primary ethnicity of 46.8% being Hispanic or Latino
and the secondary ethnicity 13.1% being African American (Sentinel City, 2017). Acer Tech
Center has a primary ethnicity of 70.2% being Caucasian and 13.7% being Hispanic or Latino.
Casper Park District has a primary ethnicity of 63% being Caucasian and 24% being Hispanic.
