The failure to receive a renewal license notification from the DROP
Shall not relieve the licensee of the obligation to renewal

License Renewal required
2 years from the last day of the month in which the license was issued
When a licensee fails to renew his or her license within 2 years following
expiration
Reinstatement is no longer possible. The former licensee shall apply for licensure as a
new applicant
The Licensure exams maybe administered by the board or
a designated testing service

It is illegal to tattoo a person :
1. under 18 year of age
2. under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Definition of licensee is
A person, partnership. association limited liability company, or corporation holding a
license issued by the Board of Barber and Cosmetology
Pets
are not allowed in a tattoo parlor
