All hose and line couplings and fittings are secure frame members Have no cracks, broken welds, holes, or other damage Air and electric hose lines connectors electrical connectors on the power unit from the power unit to the trailer are seated, sealed, free of damage, and locked into place air/electric hoses and lines are not cut, cracked, chafed, spliced, taped, worn steel braid/electrical conductor must not show through. it is not leaking, as i am listening for air leaks, and it is not tangled, crimped, pinched, or, dragging against vehicle parts or the ground Fifth Wheel Skid Plate is securely mounted to the vehicle by the fifth wheel platform. Has no cracks, breaks, or excessive wear and is properly lubricated kingpin is in place and not bent, damaged or worn visible part of apron is not bent, cracked, or broken trailer is lying flat on the fifth wheel slid plate and there is no space between the apron and fifth wheel and is properly libricated Fifth Wheel Coupling System Has the locking jaws or lever fully secured around the kingpin shank and no play between kingpin and locking lever/jaws Release Arm (fifth wheel) Is in the engaged position & the safety latch or lock (if equipped) is in place Sliding Fifth Wheel Locking Pins are not damaged and the pins are fully engaged landing gear is fully raised, has no missing parts, the crank handle is secure, and the support frame and landing pads are not damaged fifth wheel (in relation to landing gear) the fifth wheel is properly positioned so that the tractor frame clears the landing gear during turns frame members ( trailer) if applicable the frame members have no cracks, holes, broken welds or other damage reflector tape on sides and rear of vehicle are present and affixed securely to the vehicle back or trailer light lenses are clean, not broken, and not missing ABS light (if present) is amber clearance lights, marker lights, trail lights, turn signal light lenses and reflectors are red cargo area and/or floor have no breaks, cracks, or holes leaf springs and mounts have no missing, shifted, cracked, or broken leaf springs and the spring mounts are not cracked, broken, or missing any parts Air Ride Suspension is secure, not damaged or leaking shock absorber are secure,not damaged or leaking Mirrors ( traffic monitoring devices) are clean, not cracked, and the mirror brackets are not bent, are mounted securely, with no missing parts Battery is secure Battery Connectors are tight and not showing any signs of excessive corrosion electrical system cables and lines (escal) are secure not cracked, or worn battery box, cover and/or door are secure Brake linings and drums have no contaminants such as oil, grease, or other debris fuel tank is securely mounted the cap is tight, there are no leaks from the tank or lines air hoses and line are in good condition and not leaking studs and bolt holes are not elongated and no missing, loose nuts or bolts
